Club Session – 24th January

This week’s ‘Official Club’ Tuesday session will be a 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1 pyramid.  Meeting as usual at Newcastle Centre at 6.30pm.  There may be alternative sessions in Castlewellan and at the Ivy Bridge, but no details have been forwarded by the ‘Renegades’ as yet.

Please also note that Club Membership Fees are now overdue.  If you do not pay up, you run the risk of being named and shamed in the local press!!!!

Session on Tuesday 17th January

This week our session on Tuesday night will be 5 x 1 mile efforts with two minute recoveries.  Meeting as usual at Newcastle Centre at 6.30pm.  Please tell those unfamiliar with the modern technologies of tinternet.

Session strats in King Street and ends opposite the entrance to the Burrendale Hotel.  I hope Daniel O’Higgins will be there so that we can all get a look at him!!!

Session on Tuesday 10th January

This week’s Tuesday session will be a hill session in Donard Forest. Meet as usual at Newcastle Centre at 6:30pm and don’t forget to bring your head torch.

Reminder of the next club race: 5 mile handicap on Tuesday 7th February at 6:30pm (notwithstanding the fact that others might prefer to amble off to Tollymore!). There has been a suggestion to folow this up with a bit of a social in Exotikka – further details to follow.

Three Peaks Yacht Race 2011

The Danu Technologies team have won the 34th PowerBar 3 Peaks Yacht Race.

Deon said at finish : “I’m glad we won as I don’t want to come back! We wouldn’t have been here if we didn’t think we could win.”

The Three Peaks Yacht Race Team 2011

Deon McNeilly and Gary Bailey are part of the crew on board Danú Technologies who are taking part in the Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race, the original running & yachting race, and one of the oldest extreme multi-sport endurance races in the world. Follow their progress this weekend here.

Heart Screening Service

Bryansford GAC have invited anyone between the ages of 14 and 30 to avail of a heart screening service this Saturday at 4:30 pm.
The service is called Healthy Hearts, Healthy Lives : http://www.healthyheartshealthylives.com/
The cost is £35. If you wish to attend please call Carol-Anne McKay on 07515348554 and give her your name.
Those under 16 will need a parent with them to sign the questionnaire.
