Woods and O’Kane tighten their grip on NIMRA titles

The form book was right for once as current Hill and Dale Champion, Slieve Donard and NIMRA Championship leader Des Woods strengthened his grip on the title with another fine performance over the tough Donard Commedagh course on Saturday in the fifth round of the Northern Ireland Championship.  Despite twisting an ankle on the descent, he had 31 seconds to spare over Andrew Annett, who produced an equally fine run to keep Woods working hard and looking over his shoulder right to the end.   Continue reading →

Congratulations to Eoghan Totten who along with Kevin Dooney and Carl Dunne were awarded Best Mountain Running Performance of 2010. The boys team won the International Youths challenge in Italy in June beating countries such as Turkey, Russia and England. Read More …

Congratulations to Deon and Eamon who won the Elite class today. Full Results

Deon and Eamon are in the lead at the end of the first day. After 30.200km, 2180m ,16 controls and a time of 6:43:31 they have a lead of just over 3 mins on Billy Reed + Gerry Kingston.

Mourne 2 Day Results so far

The Mourne Mountain 2 Day Marathon takes place next weekend 18th – 19th September.  The full list of those entered and Final Instructions are now available on the Mourne 2 Day website.

Hoping for glory again in the Elite Category are club members Deon McNeilly and Eamon McCrickard who will be up against 13 other pairs this year.
