After much deliberation and soul searching the following teams will compete on Saturday. Fees have already bee paid. Please wear club vests as you cannot compete unless in club colours. captains will decide the running order for each team. Good Luck to all!
Dear all, This is the final call for the relays. So far we have 12 athletes confirmed, assuming that I have left no-one out. It would be great to get 4 more for a fourth team. Regrettably the Ladies’ team never materialised!

If you have replied and I have left you out please (I offer sincere and genuine apologies)let me know as a matter of urgency as I am emailing the entries tomorrow morning. Final team selections and captains for each team to be announced on Monday. The captain of each team will be responsible for determining the running order of the team on the day. The club committee have also agreed to pay transport costs for three or more athletes who car pool. Those wishing to make their own arrangements for travel are free to do so but can not avial of the expenxes offer. Please let me know if there are any issues as soon as possible.

London Calling as Kendall makes Capital Gains
Last week saw the local and national press rightly applaud the efforts of Northern Ireland athletes who completed the Virgin London Marathon. Amid all the celebration the unbelievable achievement of one man went wholly un-noticed. Newcastle’s Mark Kendall had a PB of 2:51:15 prior to April 22nd. He had trained stoically and lived a troglodyte existence in the months leading up to the event. Continue reading
The countdown is on and the waiting is almost over!
Saturday 31st March sees Liatroim Fontenoys, in association with Newcastle AC, present the second annual Leitrim 5 mile road race and fun run. The long established County Down club is delighted to announce that international athlete Ciara Mageean will be taking time from her busy schedule to officially start race proceedings. Ciara, who is currently training with the hope of reaching London Olympics 2012, said “I am very pleased to officially start the Leitrim road race and fun road and wish the Fontenoys every success with what is sure to be a great racing event building on last year’s success”.
