Kerry Seeley Cup 2015It had to happen at some stage; mild calm conditions for running had to be replaced by rain and wind. Despite the poor conditions, 923 athletes completed the 10k course, regarded as the most prestigious event of its kind in the NI running calendar. With 2 and a bit laps of Ormeau Park and the Ormeau Embankment to be covered, the course is relatively flat.  However, the wind and rain certainly made racing more difficult as evidenced in the slightly slower times recorded by athletes of all abilities. Bogusboy reports from the Dublin Marathon on a wet and windy Bank Holiday Monday in October

Dubin Marathon team 2015The intensive training had drawn to a close and the week of tapering was over. The 6th annual Gr8 Dundrum Run by Bogusboy

The Dublin Marathon may only be a week away, but many of the NAC athletes were still determined to give this now firmly established race a ‘good lash’. As the sun shone, conditions were ideal for racing and a huge crowd gathered to take part or spectate as 11am approached.  Continue reading

Armagh 10 TeamThe Armagh 10 is ideal preparation for those in the final stages of preparation for the Dublin Marathon. With 15 days to go, the taper begins and this race was one final speedy push after all the hard grind of miles that characterised August and September.
