Race 6 – Rocky takes place on Thursday 21st May.

– Route direction is Clockwise
-Starting at Leitrim Lodge at 7.30pm prompt
-Registration from 6.30pm in Leitrim Lodge car park
-Please park safely and have respect for residents and other road users as this road is    narrow before and after car park.
-First summit is Rocky Mountain then in sequence, Tournamrock, Pearses Castle, Altnataggart and back to finish line at Leitrim Lodge.
-Pub and prize giving is in Downshire Hotel in Hilltown on the square.

Hill and Dale Series 2015 Race 5

Race 5 of the Hill and Dale Series is the Slieve Donard Race which takes place on SATURDAY 16th May at 2:00 PM. Preview of Race.

* Weather forecast is rain and low cloud. All runners must bring mandatory body cover. There will be kit checks at start and finish of race *

Online Registration is now CLOSED and will reopen on Sunday for the remaining Hill and Dale races.

If you have already registered for the Hill and Dale Series you DO NOT need to register again for the Slieve Donard Race.

A shoes and clothing recycling point will be set up at the start of the Slieve Donard race on Saturday 16th May.  If you have any unwanted shoes or items of clothing which you no longer need, please bring them along on Saturday.  They will be given to a good home.

All donated items will be given to homeless organisation ‘Homeplus’ in Belfast.  Homeplus provides a drop-in centre for homeless and destitute people and would very much appreciate your support in their effects to assist those who use their service.

There is a particular need for sports shoes and trainers as they are most comfortable for people who walk a lot.

A pair of running shoes were left in the field after last nights race. Owner can contact PJ McCrickard on 07718884761 to arrange for their return.

Race 4 – Binnian takes place on Thursday 7th May. The race is 2 Mile / 2,000 ft. Start grid reference is J32893, Head Road, near Annalong. Full body cover must be brought to race. There will be kit checks at start and finish of race.

Race 3 – Slieve Martin takes place on Thursday 30th April. The race is 4.25 Miles / 1,740 ft. Checkpoints are below. Full body cover must be brought to race. There will be kit checks at start and finish of race.

Race 2 – Tollymore takes place on Thursday 23rd April. The route for the race is the old monument course and is approx 4.5 mile.

Car parking will be free for all competitors in Tollymore Forest carparks. Parking on grass verges is strictly prohibited.

Senior Race

Registration for Seniors will be in the Clanbrasil Barn and will open at 6:30pm. Entry fee is £8 if you registered online.

Registration for the Juniors will be in the Clanbrasil Barn. Registration will open at 6pm and close at 6.45 sharp to allow everyone to get over for 1st Primary race at 7pm. Post Primary race will start at 7.10pm. Presentation will be at 7.40pm after senior race start. Weather permitting close to the finish.  Entry Fee is £2/child.

* There will be junior on the day entries taken at a cost of £4 /child as extra admin work is required. Additional money will be given to charity.

Car parking in Castlewellan Forest Park main carpark will be free for all competitors and everyone is asked to use the carpark. Parking on grass verges is strictly prohibited.
