Eoghan Totten has been selected to represent Ulster in the Boys U18 3000m at the Celtic Games. The games take place this Saturday in Athlone. The Celtic Games is held annually with juvenile teams competing from Scotland, Wales, Ulster and Athletics Ireland. For many athletes this is an important stepping stone in International athletics. Athletes such as Derval O’Rourke (Leevale AC) and Christian Malcolm (Wales) still hold Celtic Games record.

There is now a new junior section on the website where you can see junior news, events and results. Photos will be added soon.  We are hosting a junior inter-club competition on Monday 31st May 2010 at Shimna Integrated College.  Please come along and support our juniors.

Out young junior club star – Eoghan Totten – has been racing hard recently and totting up some very good performances:

2nd in the Uneven Age Group XC Championships

5th in the Even Age Group XC Championships

3rd in NIMAA Embankment 5k Road Race in a time of 15.54

Congratulations to Eoghan Totten who came 1st in the British and Irish Junior Championships at Sedburgh England at the weekend.
